Just A Journal

This is where I have written things, and will continue to write things.

“I am no better than anyone else… I’m looking for answers, stumbling around in the dark curling up like a question mark, because I don’t know what to do. But I know you have to care about the world… Because it doesn’t care about you.”

Shower Thoughts

So, whilst draining the hot water from my water tank last night, I had a series of really messed up stupid thoughts, as we all do at this time. However, one exceptionally profound idea popped into my head, and I thought I might as well take note of it. Here goes…

ALRIGHT. So, water has no taste. Yes? Yes. exactly. BUT WHAT IF IT DOES HAVE A TASTE!? Hang on, hang on, let me explain myself. As humans, approximately 60% of our bodies are made up of water. THAT’S A FACT JACK!! Anyhoo, what I’m suggesting is that water does in fact have a taste, but our bodies are so used to it that we don’t taste it! This same theory is believed to be true for saliva as well, because as we all know, we can’t taste our own saliva, but we can easily taste the saliva of others. (this is starting to sound gross.) ALSO, some people believe that air as well has a flavor, but we cannot taste that either because we are exposed to it our whole lives. This in my opinion, makes complete sense. Of course the I wonder, what if water tastes super disgusting! It could be literally the most horrible flavor imaginable, and we wouldn’t even know it. ALSO, if all of this is true, then what about newborns? A baby that has just been born has only been exposed to water for a short amount of time compared to the rest of us, so maybe babies can taste the wretched flavor of water! And then, what if the horrible taste in their mouths is why they cry so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This could all be so true, it’s ridiculous. Or I could just be rambling on like a maniac. Oh well.

A Thousand Splendid Suns

OH MY DEAR GOSH. Khaled Hosseini has done it again. This novel was absolutely wonderfully well written in every aspect. It was saturated with emotion, and dripping with suspense. Now, believe me when I say that I am NOT a great reader. I get distracted quite easily, and this frustrates me, so I hardly ever finish a book. But novel had me hooked in an hour, and at the back cover in 2 days. Khaled expertly allows the reader to understand and experience the life of the oppressed women living in Afghanistan, as well as the sacrifices women have to make for their families and loved ones. I recommend this novel to pretty much every single person on earth. Read it. Now.

This game makes me a violent person…
